Dear !*FIRSTNAME*!,
Greetings,
Business is growing and it is time for Exprim to take a serious place in the 4wd world. Directions must be taken too!
We have great tourism resources and attractions in the country, it would be a shame if we were to miss out! The cultural and historic heritage left to all of us should be enjoyed by all.
I am passionate about the Australian outback and I wish all to enjoy it as much as I do. The increasing number of visitors has forced councils, shires and Aboriginal communities to take steps towards protecting their land. And this I agree and support but it is important for all of us to find appropriate compromises and work together towards common goals. The changes on the Canning Stock Route and the closure of the Calvert Range is one thing but if nothing is done from our side (the travellers) we will all loose rights to those magical places.
I then urge you all to "have a say" and tell us what you think should be done. Please read the article in this letter on the CSR and follow the link to express your thoughts.
I will keep the site up to date with all the latest changes on the Stock Route.
Until next time,
Eric Chantelat, managing director.

EPE, Explore planet Earth, Microfast CR-1 change shelter.
We have used this product over the last four years, it strong, light and easy to store. Once you have mastered the folding process, which takes a few practice, it takes only a few seconds to put it back in its sack. It folds into a circle 3 inches wide and about 30 inches in diameter, easy to slip in between your gears. Good camping store will stock, alternatively, you may visit their web site here.

Location: Gibson Desert
This is the entrance to Empress Spring, named by David Carnegie in 1896. He was guided to this life saving water by an Aboriginal from the area. As Carnegie said himself, this cave saved him and his companions from a certain death. Such was the life of early explorers who's only motivation to endure such dry and desolated country was: "to see what's out there".
Of course today's modern 4WD make such journeys so easy, but don't we have just the same motivation?

Most commonly asked questions about our tours:
|
Canning Stock Route important news
|
"How many people in the vehicle?"
Maximum of three (plus guide) for short trips (Great Victoria Desert - 8 days) and two for longer trips (Canning Stock Route - 12/17days).
You choose who is coming along.
"Tailor-made?"
Yes, we are the only company in Australia offering private desert trips.
You choose the travelling pace.
"What is included in private tours?"
Everything; food, accommodation, camping equipment. All you need to bring is yourself and a good camera!
Sit down, relax and let us take care of the rest.
"What about safety?"
Because most trips are made with a single vehicle, the 4WD is completely self-sufficient.
The 4WD is equipped with the following:
Communication: UHF radio, HF radio and Satellite Phone.
Recovery: Electric winch, sand ladders, sand anchor, air compressor, snatch straps, spare wheels, tools, etc...
Health: Comprehensive first aid kit, senior first aid qualified guide, direct access to Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Navigation: GPS, detailed maps, compass, and a knowledgeable guide!

CSR "HAVE YOUR SAY"!
The Canning Stock Route is under new management, or more precisely: simply "under management". This means new rules and regulations applied to all off sites along ths track.
A three year study is under progress but already sites like the Calvert Range is now closed to public.
As we are preparing discussions with the relevant council we are asking you to submit your thoughts and comments. More...
We have ste up a page for that purpose at:
